Estimate to be One Billion surveillance cameras installed globally by 2021

It has been estimated that by 2021 more than one billion surveillance cameras are to be installed worldwide. There is an estimated 770 million cameras already in place, with a little over 50 percent of them in China alone. North and South American are home tot he next largest amount of cameras almost 20%. Excluding China, Asia has about 15 percent of the cameras in the world. The greatest opportunity for growth in the video surveillance market include developing countries such as Brazil, Indonesia and India.
